Response
The initial AI videos drew genuine interest, as viewers could imagine themselves in other circumstances, worlds or eras. The uncanny valley of AI also produces humorous responses as people talk about their eleven fingers. Most of the comments are flooded with the whiplash of scrolling through multiple videos e.g. “I SURVIVED THE BLACK PLAGUE WAS AT ALCATRAZ AND NOW THIS.”
Gen Z has taken this one step further by creating their own real-life POVs, emulating the trend to reflect their own lives or experiences.

Application
You can find some POVs directly about Biblical stories, like Noah’s Ark, to enhance teaching.
Engage your listeners in a spoken word POV to consider the context of a passage. Imagine starting a sermon with “POV you’re a disciple who has just seen their leader, who taught about eternal life… die.” This could work particularly well in apocalyptic literature, like Daniel’s Chapter 7 Vision or depictions of New Creation.
Ask youth to create their own videos depicting key BIblical events.
Use the trend in marketing “POV you wake up just before Youth Group starts”
