She doesn't know it yet but...
Short-from video trend (Application: God's sovereignty, Testimonies)
Overview
This short-form video trend highlights hindsight as creators publish photos or videos of themselves before key or transformative life moments. They overlay text that reads something like “she/he didn’t know it yet, but this was the night that… X happened”

Response
While beginning in sincerity, with significant and often dark events, the trend has diversified to bring a broader range of moments, some less meaningful than others. This is how the trend has continued:

Application
On the more serious side, this trend speaks to the unexpected and sometimes disappointing moments that can often befall us. Understanding God's sovereignty means that for Christians, even though we cannot know our future, God is in control of each of our days (Prov 19:21).
This trend could also be a helpful visual aid in testimonies: “He didn’t know, but this is the night he would give his life to Christ.” Asking youth to find a picture before significant moments in their own testimony could be an interesting way to use the trend. You could ask them - find a photo from last year/a few years ago; how have you grown in your faith since then? They can then overlay their photo with something like “She doesn’t know it yet, but this time next year, she will have a greater understanding of the book of Romans,” “He doesn’t know it yet, but this is the night he understood God’s grace on a deeper level.”
Youth group promos could tap into the fun side of the trend: “He doesn’t know it yet, but he’s about to have the best night of youth of his life,” “She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s about to make new friends at Youth Camp”.
